The fifth edition of Sequences Art Festival is about to start in Reykjavík. From the 1st to the 10th of April, several galleries, venues and cultural spaces and institutions around Iceland’s capital will host exhibitions, lectures and performances of various genres.
As the name suggests, Sequences is an event whose main field of interest are time-based and performing arts. The upcoming 2011 edition will be especially dedicated to connections between performance and visual arts. Through installations, happenings and public discussions with over twenty among Icelandic and international projects focused on this theme, Sequences 2011 will be researching boundaries among art forms and different media.
