Attention please! Kimi Records, in collaboration with Norræna Húsið, Rás 2 and The Reykjavík Grapevine present: Reykjavík Music Mess, a new indie music festival that will rock Iceland’s capital this year for the first time. This not-to-be-missed event is going to take place at Norræna Húsið and NASA in Reykjavík on the 16th and 17th of April, 2011.
A great lineup is unfolding in course of these days before our own eyes — or should I rather say… ears? — with new bands and musicians being added by the hour. Organizers are working hard to bring to the festival some of the most interesting music artists both from Iceland and from other countries (among artists already confirmed for this first edition of the festival, several acts from US, Finland and Greenland). Highly-anticipated headliners of Reykjavík Music Mess 2011 are no less than acclaimed US indie rockers Deerhunter! Other confirmed bands include Sin Fang (now officially without Bous, just to make it clear), Jana Hunter’s Lower Dens, Kimono, Reykjavík!, Mugison, and many more.
Stay tuned, because we are going to keep you updated on the event! For detailed info about all the artists who are going to perform and for purchasing tickets, go take a peak at the official Reykjavík Music Mess website. For real-time news, don’t forget to follow the festival’s page on FaceBook and Twitter.
OMG, I so love Sin Fang and Deerhunter! What a great line up this is already!
I will be in Iceland during that period and I hope I can get a ticket to this festival from there, because I cannot purchase it from Germany using my card!
