For all the Japanophiles and cinephiles of Iceland, we want to bring to your attention: from March 10 to 13, 2011, at the Bíó Paradís a retrospective by the title Grín og gaman frá Japan is going to take place every day with screenings of a selection of Japanese films. Among them, one of the later instalments in the legendary Otoko wa tsurai yo series by Yoji Yamada, with the much beloved actor Kiyoshi Atsumi. An occasion not to be missed!

All films will be in 16 mm format, in original Japanese language with English subtitles. Admission is free!
