Græna Ljósið, the only distributor in Iceland for foreign indipendent films, presents Bíódagar 2010, a film festival that will run for three weeks, from April 16 to May 6.
With its main venue at the Regnboginn cinema in downtown Reykjavík, the festival’s calendar consists of twenty-four films selected among the most interesting releases of the past months. The list includes titles such as Terry Gilliam’s latest effort The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Wes Anderson’s stop-motion gem The Fantastic Mr Fox, BAFTA winner for Best Foreign Language movie Un Prophète, Oscar winning films Das Weisse Band and Crazy Heart. Much relevance is given also to documentaries, presented in a varied selection and among which of particular interest is Czarek Iber’s Dialog, realized in Iceland.
The brochure with the complete schedule of the screenings is available as a pdf file here. Tickets or passes for twelve screenings (-40% off the full tickets price) are available for purchase at the Regnboginn. Tickets are also available for online purchase at midi.is.
